LEN

The Law on Digital economy, so called LEN, adopted on May 13, 2004 by the French government transposes of the elements of four European directives, is intended to support the development of the trade by Internet, clarifies the rules for the consumers and the people receiving benefits as well technical as commercial and puts thus fine at years of debate under two legislatures.

Extracts of the law: CHAPTER II, publicity by electronic way, Article 22 I - the article L. 33-4-1 of the Code of the Posts and Télécommunications is thus written:
“Article L. 33-4-1 - Is prohibited the direct prospection by means of an automat of call, a telecopier or a using email, in some form that it is, coordinates of a natural person who did not express her preliminary assent to receive direct prospections by this means
